Mr. Chandy, who ran Carat's international campaigns for Reckitt & Colman and United Distillers & Vintners' Johnny Walker, will take up his post in mid-September.
As well as handling international clients, Mr. Chandy's responsibilities will be to identify and implement growth opportunities for clients as part of the CIA's business development drive. He will join the board of CIA International and will report to Mainardo de Nardis, CIA's European CEO.
Mr. Chandy joined Carat International as internationalclient services director in 1996. Prior to that he was a management consultant at BDO Stoy Hayward. His agency experience includes work at Publicis and and Havas Advertising's Euro RSCG.
Owned by the Tempus Group, CIA Medianetwork's international clients include Beiersdorf, DaimlerChrysler, DHL, Henkel, JP Morgan, Novartis, Shell, and Visa International.
