Circle K stores get Nascar tie-in

Tosco Marketing Co.'s Circle K stores, Phoenix, signed a sponsorship deal with Nascar, Daytona Beach, Fla., making Circle K convenience stores "the official pit stop of Nascar." Terms weren't disclosed. Circle K will develop a co-branded logo to be used in all its Nascar marketing programs. Those will include trade and consumer advertising and joint promotions with other Nascar sponsors. The tagline on these efforts will be "Your pit stop for all your convenience needs." Circle K will also make a significant buy on Nascar TV broadcasts and in Nascar publications. Circle K plans joint marketimg efforts with Tosco's '76 brand gasoline.
