CKS buys German new media shop

Published on .

CKS Group, Cupertino, Calif., announced its expansion into Europe with the acquisition of Prisma Holding, Hamburg. Prisma, an integrated and interactive marketing firm like CKS, will change its name to CKS Europe. The deal, for $6.5 million now and up to $10 million more later, gives CKS three central European offices to go with its five in the U.S. Meanwhile, CKS remains interested in buying McKinney & Silver, Raleigh, N.C.; the two agencies have been haggling over terms.
