Claiborne jumps spending to $20M

Liz Claiborne Inc. will be spending $20 million on advertising for its women's apparel with a March campaign from new agency the Gotham Group, chosen last week. Altschiller & Co. resigned the account in 1993 after several years of reduced ad spending by Claiborne. This year the marketer spent just $2 million.
