Group, beat out three other New York agencies: Margeotes/Fertitta & Partners, Wells Rich Greene BDDP and Angotti, Thomas, Hedge. Altschiller & Co. was the incumbent. Liz Claiborne said its goal is to become the world's largest advertiser of women's fashion apparel in 1996. Separately, the company selected Arnold Fortuna Lawner & Cabot, Boston, to handle advertising on Liz Claiborne Cosmetics.
