Clinton going for the gold

Published on .

The Clinton/Gore '96 campaign has shifted its TV advertising to local NBC stations next week to be on the Olympics coverage. It has also raised its $2 million buy to $3 million next week, media reps said, but is confining its buys to the same politically competitive markets it has been using. No word yet on whether the Republican National Committee will try to respond. Republican candidate Bob Dole has reached his pre-convention spending limit, so the RNC has been taking over some of the advertising responsibilities.
