Clueless dolls

Published on .

Viacom Consumer Products, which handles licensing for Paramount Pictures, has signed a sweeping merchandising deal with Mattel that gives the toy marketer rights to produce a line of fashion dolls, accessories and CD-ROM titles based on the upcoming ABC TV series "Clueless." The series is based on the 1995 Paramount film. The first wave of dolls, clothing, and interactive software will be based on the show's trio of fashionably hip teenage girls. The products will be previewed at next February's Toy Fair in New York.
