CMG forms an Internet Group

CMG Information Services announced Dec. 17 that it was forming the CMG Internet Group, made of six companies. The group includes Web content service Planet Direct; NaviSite & NaviNet Internet Services, hosting and Internet server management companies; Web marketing software company Engage Technologies; ad distribution company ADSmart; corporate network service InfoMation; and The Password. CMG Information Services Chairman-CEO David S. Wetherell and two presidents, William White and David Andonian, will run the new unit.

Mr. White, who was formerly senior VP-marketing at Excite, was named president-marketing and strategic operations. Mr. Andonian, formerly VP-general manager of the personal systems division at PictureTel Corp., joins as president-business development and operations.
