CMGI, Novell and Sun team to form CMGion

CMGI partnered with Sun Microsystems and Novell to create a new majority-owned operating company, CMGion. CMGI Chairman-CEO David Wetherell will serve as interim CEO of the company. The company will develop a new Internet operating network service that will make profile-driven, privacy-enabled content and services available to consumers via wireless and other non-PC-based platforms. Sun and Novell will invest $20 million in the venture.
