CMGI slaps name on Patriots' new stadium

Published on .

CMGI will be the first name people see on the new stadium for the New England Patriots and the New England Revolution, scheduled to open in 2002 in Foxboro, Mass. Under the terms of a 15-year deal with the owners of the football and soccer teams, CMGI acquired exclusive naming rights to the stadium, to be named CMGI Field. The agreement includes sponsorship and promotional rights both in and around the stadium complex and within the Patriots' marketing properties. CMGI also becomes the Patriots' preferred provider of Internet technology and services. CMGI will pay $7.6 million per year for the first 10 years, with cost adjustments the following years.
