CMP to fold 'NetGuide'

Published on .

CMP Media's NetGuide Magazine will discontinue publishing after its August issue, according to a memo sent to employees this week and obtained by Advertising Age. As expected, the company is also reorganizing to bring its enterprise and PC publications under Jeff Strief, senior VP-group publisher. NetGuide's editorial staff will be integrated into Windows, which will increase its Internet coverage in print and online. NetGuide online, which has been redesigned and reformatted, will continue. The restructuring is most likely readying the company for its initial public offering of stock.
