CNBC Asia goes digital

SINGAPORE--CNBC Asia has launched a digital facility, allowing the Singapore-based business news channel to produce four separate channels of CNBC Asia for various parts of Asia Pacific. It also generates substantially higher quality TV signals and provides greater flexibility to further increase the numbers of separate channels.

"Going digital future-proofs CNBC Asia to stay on top of the rapid advancements in the competitive cable and satellite broadcast industry," says CNBC Asia President Paul France in Singapore.

Launched just over a year ago as a regional satellite and cable TV service of Dow Jones & Co, and NBC, CNBC Asia is available in more than 13 million homes on a 24-hour basis and in 227,000 hotel rooms across Asia.
