CNBC launches Intercast service

Published on .

CNBC on Nov. 17 introduced CNBC Intercast, a new service that lets PC users watch CNBC Business News TV programming on their computers, while tracking investments and accessing customized news on demand. Intercast, based on technology developed by Intel, lets users watch the CNBC programming on one part of their computer screen, while interacting with the Web on another part of the screen. Applications include breaking business news, personal portfolio management, CNBC business news archives and other features. EDS' c2o Interactive Architects consulted on the technology and graphics development for the service.
