CNET COMPLETES PURCHASE OF TECHREPUBLIC

(July 11, 2001) -- CNET Networks, San Francisco, announced the completion of its acquisition of TechRepublic from Gartner for $23 million in cash and common stock. TechRepublic is a site developed exclusively for information technology professionals by IT professions. The online community offers six "republics" for members based on their occupations, including CIO, IT manager, network administrator, developer, support or IT consultant. -- Adrienne Mand
