CNET signs computer makers

CNET has signed strategic marketing relationships with Compaq Computer Corp., Dell Computer Corp. and Acer America Corp. to participate in its Premier PC Manufacturer's Advertising Program. Under the agreements, the advertisers will launch new ad campaigns on the CNET network to increase brand awareness and generate sales leads. The program is designed to improve campaign performance by delivering appropriate messages to users as they work their way through the computer buying process on CNET's sites.
