CNN Interactive will supply news and information to the PointCast Network
, which delivers news and entertainment to computers in the form of a screen saver. CNN also announced a co-marketing and TV ad campaign to back the PointCast service. Starting this fall, PointCast subscribers will be able to get news from CNN in real time. PointCast is free to subscribers; the service is now in the process of signing advertisers to fall contracts. When CNN goes live on PointCast in the fall, it will handle its own ad sales.
