CNN NARROWS BRANDING REVIEW TO TWO

(Sept. 3, 2001) -- AOL Time Warner's CNN is believed to have narrowed a review for a branding assignment for the 24-hour news network to two West Coast agencies: Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone, Belding Worldwide, San Francisco, and Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., a person close to the situation said.

A Turner spokesman declined to comment.

Turner Broadcasting Chairman-CEO Jamie Kellner has been in search of ways to bolster the network's image.
