Coca-Cola in bake shop sales deal

Retail Baker's Association, Laurel, Md., said it signed a pact with Coca-Cola Co., giving the soft drink marketer exclusive access to 5,000 to 10,000 independent bakeries that either didn't sell soft drinks before or sold products from rival Pepsi-Cola Co. RBA said its program with Coca-Cola includes merchandising and marketing support from the soft-drink company and joint outdoor advertising. Pepsi-Cola also made a pitch for the RBA business, the association said.
