Coffee drink test expands

Mazagran, a lightly carbonated coffee drink developed through a year-oldpartnership between Starbucks Coffee, Seattle, and Pepsi-Cola Co., Somers, N.Y.,begins testing in California Tuesday. The market includes nine Starbucks storesand 50 or more supermarkets and other food retailers in the Santa Monica area.Mazagran is sold in 12-ounce bottles featuring the Starbucks logo, and will bepromoted at community events, sampled in stores, and advertised via in-storematerials, bus cards and newspapers.
