Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, next week launches a nostalgia-filled retail concept in Nashville, Tenn., in the Opryland Hotel. The Coca-Cola General Store will feature a soda fountain serving Coke floats and other items, and Coca-Cola themed reproductions and collectibles. A spokesman said the concept may be replicated elsewhere. The Dec. 9 grand opening will be broadcast live on QVC in a 3-hour segment selling Coke merchandise. The store will be operated by hotel owner Gaylord Entertainment, Nashville, under a licensing agreement with Coca-Cola.
