Coke moves to Burnett in India

Published on .

Coca-Cola Co. has dealt McCann-Erickson India, Bombay, a severe blow by moving its Coke brand to Chaitra Leo Burnett, Bombay, one of India's Top 10 agencies that already handles indigenous Coca-Cola-owned brands such as the Thums Up cola and Limca. Spending was undisclosed. McCann had handled Coca-Cola since its return to India in 1992 after a 16-year absence; the agency continues to handle Fanta in India.
