COKE TO USE TURKISH SPOT FOR BRAZIL WEB SITE LAUNCH

Published on .

(Aug. 13, 2001) ISTANBUL -- Coca-Cola Co. in Brazil will use a TV spot originally created for the launch of the soft drink giant's Web site rollout in Turkey for its own forthcoming site launch.

The spot was created by Istanbul-based MARKA, the only independent local shop among Coke's roster of agencies in Turkey.

"Serving Coca-Cola and expanding beyond the boundaries of Turkey to represent our advertising industry both elevates and excites us," said MARKA CEO Hulusi Derici. "This is not something to be sneezed at. Brazilian advertising is renowned worldwide for its high creativity." -- Gurul Ogud
