Columbia to sell DirecTV ad time

CULVER CITY, Calif. - Columbia TriStar Advertiser Sales agreed to be the exclusive ad sales rep for DirecTV. Columbia will sell national spot ad time on cable networks and national ad time on DirecTV sports packages, such as ``NFL Sunday Ticket.'' Columbia TriStar Advertiser Sales, a division of Columbia TriStar Television Distribution, and DirecTV said the multiyear deal will provide, for the first time, national media opportunities for advertisers on the direct-to-home digital TV service. DirecTV supplies 185 channels to some 4.5 million subscribers.
