Comcast to TBWA Chiat/Day

TBWA Chiat/Day, New York has won the Comcast Corp. account. Comcast, the nation's fourth-largest cable carrier, is expected to spend about $30 million worth of media on its own cable system while also spending about $5 million on paid media, according to executives close to the company.

The previous agency is Earle Palmer Brown, Philadelphia. Comcast also owns a 57% stake and manages TV retailer QVC. The cable company also owns the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers and the National Basketball Association's Philadelphia 76ers and operates the CoreStates Spectrum. It also has investments in high-speed cable service @Home, E! Entertainment Television and Sprint PCS.
