Companies buddy up with Microsoft for IE 4.0

Numerous companies announced their involvement with release of Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. For instance, AOL Studios said it would be supplying content as a premier Active Channel on IE 4.0, supplying original content from its Greenhouse Networks business unit including entertainment areas of AOL Thrive, Hecklers Online and Extreme Fans.

Microsoft chose several access partners including Prodigy Services Corp., which will also supply Prodigy Daily, a news service that has features about the online community. And Infoseek Corp. announced that it was launching the Infoseek Companion, a search engine developed for the new browser.
