Company to enable Internet access through telephones

Published on .

TelSurf Networks Feb. 7 launches 888-TelSurf, an Internet "audio browser" service, designed to turn telephones into toll-free Internet access. 888-TelSurf enables subscribers to access select Internet-based audio content and communications services, at no charge, through a toll-free number. 888-TelSurf is supported by audio commercials played over the phone while the consumer is waiting for the Internet to respond. The service is also available at 6-cents-per-minute without audio advertising. Currently available in select markets, the 888-TelSurf service plans nationwide expansion by April.
