's fall ad campaign will show how its personal computers are improving lives for every member of the family. "Compaq--Has it changed your life yet?" is the theme of the campaign starting in November. Ammirati & Puris/Lintas, New York, is the agency. Compaq previewed the campaign Wednesday morning at a press conference showing off its fall home computer lineup.
Compaq, the No. 1 PC marketer globally, is taking dead aim at Packard Bell Electronics, the No. 1 U.S. home PC brand, claiming at its announcement that its new models have far superior audio and video capabilities than Packard Bell's. Compaq earlier this year sued Packard Bell, claiming the company put used parts in new PCs.
