COMPAQ RENEWS CONTRACT WITH ASK JEEVES UNIT

(May 7, 2001) -- Ask Jeeves Business Solutions, a division of search engine Ask Jeeves, Emeryville, Calif., announced today that Compaq has renewed its contract with the company. One of Ask Jeeves' earliest corporate customers, Compaq implemented "ask Compaq," a customized question answering service for customer support in 1998. Compaq now uses the service within the support sections of all products on its site. -- Adrienne Mand
