CompuServe ad exec resigns

Published on .

Tom Cullivan, director of advertising at CompuServe, resigned earlier this month, following Cynthia Vahlkamp, senior VP-marketing, out the online service's door. Ms. Vahlkamp's departure came at a time when the company's marketing budget was said to have been cut back; CompuServe's VP-Online Services Scott Kauffman said the service would rely more heavily on direct response campaign work, rather than work from traditional agencies including agency of record DDB Needham Worldwide, Chicago, in the coming months. No replacement has been named for Mr. Cullivan.
