CompuServe in ad pact

As expected, CompuServe, Columbus, Ohio, signed an exclusive deal with Softbank Interactive Marketing, El Segundo, Calif., to sell interactive advertising into the online service brand during 1997. Sponsorship, based on CPM pricing, will be modeled around pre-designated content packages; prior to the announcement of the Softbank deal, CompuServe executives said the CPM price could be $45, though it would be discounted in early 1997.
