CompuServe sees jump in activity

Published on .

In related news, Regina Brady, director-member acquisition and retention at CompuServe, said calls to her company's phone lines spiked shortly after the company aired its first-ever Super Bowl spot on Jan. 26.

Scott Kauffman, VP-interactive services at CompuServe, said his company had no plans to continue TV advertising in the near future. He added, however, that "about 60% of those calls came from people who subscribe to other online services."

An executive at Prodigy said on Tuesday that the company is still talking to agency Weiss, Whitten, Stagliano, New York, about adding TV spots to a campaign launched in October that uses print, radio and outdoor advertising.
