Computer Associates taps Y&R

Published on .

Computer Associates, Islandia, N.Y., as expected on Thursday will name Y&R Advertising, New York, its new agency of record for an estimated $100 million account (Ad Age, July 24). The agency review process conducted by Ken Fitzpatrick, newly named general manager of global marketing, boiled down to a shoot-out with BBDO Worldwide, New York (AA, July 24). Mr. Fitzpatrick declined to confirm the selection of Y&R. The software company aims to kick off a global brand campaign by Oct. 1 to showcase its e-business solutions.
