Computer.com gains funding, buys Super Bowl spots

Computer.com, a site for computer information, products and services, received $5.8 million in seed funding from private investors, including Monster.com founder and CEO Jeff Taylor and Drugstore.com founder Jed Smith. The company will spend $3 million of that financing on three 30-second commercials during the Super Bowl on Jan. 30. The company will use the rest of the funding for site development and maintenance and growth in 2000.
