Conde Nast may move

Published on .

Conde Nast President Steve Florio confirmed that he is looking for a new headquarters for the magazine company that is currently overflowing the office headquarters building it owns at 350 Madison Ave. in New York. "We have over 2,000 employees and we're scattered all over the city right now," he said. "We're very serious about a move." The New York Post said the company is in talks to move into a new office tower as the anchor tenant in a site owned by the Durst Organization on Broadway in the Times Square area of Manhattan. Mr. Florio said a deal and a subsequent move "might not happen until 1999. We're talking to them but there are a lot of people talking."
