Conde Nast shakes up mags

Published on .

An unexpected shakeup at Conde Nast Publications has led to the appointment of a new publisher at Conde Nast Sports for Women and the departure of the editor of Details. The changes, first reported April 29 on the AdAge.com Web site, will see Conde Nast later this week formally name Suzanne Grimes as publisher of Sports for Women from the same post at News Corp.'s TV Guide. She succeeds Deanna Brown, who will leave the company. Conde Nast was said to be unhappy with ad sales for Sports for Women, which launches later this year. Separately, Joe Dolce resigned as editor of Details, amid rumors that Conde Nast was looking to replace him. No replacement was named.
