Cone leaves marketing post at Fidelity

Stephen A. Cone resigned as president-retail and corporate marketing at Fidelity Personal Investments, a unit of Fidelity Investments, Boston. He will join Salomon Smith Barney, New York, as managing director and head of global retail market for the asset management group, effective Feb. 7. Mr. Cone's responsibilities will be assumed by Gail McGovern, who today was named president of Fidelity Personal Investments. Ms. McGovern, formerly president-distribution and services, succeeds Gary Burk-head, who will retire effective Feb. 1.
