Davidson Marketing, Chicago, has formed DMI Urban, a division targeting city-dwelling African-American, Hispanic and Asian-American consumers. DMI Urban is headed by Riley B. Davis Jr., founder of the Sadler-Davis Group specializing in sales promotions and event marketing targeting blacks. Separately, Davidson opened its first satellite office, DMI-West, based in Los Angeles.
TradeZone, Westport, Conn., has created the EventSmart division to provide event marketing services including on-site product sampling in shopping malls, transit centers, sports events, concerts and fairs.
Visa USA this month extended its sponsorship of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team to June 30, 2003. The sponsorship includes national TV and print ad support, ski industry retail promotions, event sponsorship and on-uniform signage.
