Cordiant buys U.S. e-business consultancy

Cordiant Communications Group has strengthened its interactive operations with the acquisition of U.S. e-business consultancy Micro-Arts Corp. for $47.4 million. The New Hampshire-based brand and business development agency, which integrates marketing strategy, brand development and Web site design, will become part of CCG's global e-business solutions provider CCG.XM. Says Michael Bungey, CEO of Cordiant: "With MicroArts and CCG.XM, we are ideally placed to service on-line brands and exploit the growth potential of this market."
