(July 20, 2001) ROME -- An AdAge Global story that ran on AdAge.com's International news string incorrectly reported that Italian dairy giant Parmalat had awarded its international fresh milk product advertising budget to Publicis-Italia. In fact, the Milan-based agency won the domestic Italian advertising business.

According to a Publicis, some of the Italian campaigns could be used in selected international markets.

Cordiant Communication Group's Bates Worldwide continues to hold Parmalat's dairy products including fresh milk in business in Australia, the Far East, China, France, the U.K. and the U.S.

Parmalat officials were not available to comment at the company's Parma-based headquarters.
