CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Cossette Communication Group, Quebec City, has acquired New York-based direct marketing agency Tarsitano Creative, the company said yesterday. The agency will be renamed Cossette Tarsitano.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is the second New York acquisition for the Canadian advertising company. In August 2001, Cossette purchased Post & Partners (now Cossette Post), which provided its entree into the U.S. ad market.

Tarsitano, founded in 1986, specializes in direct marketing solutions for companies involved in the financial services, publishing and entertainment industries. It has 10 employees and revenue of more than $2 million from clients including MasterCard International, Columbia House and Quicken Loans.

Cossette Post reported revenues of $11.7 million in 2001, up 10.2%, on billings of $110.5 million, according to Advertising Age figures.
