June was red hot for Tom Cruise, grabbing 11.5 points from five magazine covers to score the highest monthly tally yet for Cover Story in 1996. The "Mission: Impossible" star could be seen on Entertainment Weekly, People, Premiere, Us and Vanity Fair.

Other celebrities scoring enough points to finish in the top 10 for the month:

Nicolas Cage, 7.5 points; Jim Carrey, 7; Princess Diana, 6.5; Demi Moore, 6; Sandra Bullock, 5; Lauren Holly and Michael Jackson, 4.5; and Cher, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Heather Locklear, Elizabeth Taylor, John Travolta and Liv Tyler, all with 4.
