Covisint launches first ads

Covisint, Southfield, Mich., on Oct. 30 launched a global print and online campaign to introduce the business-to-business auto exchange to carmakers and their suppliers. Y&R Advertising, Dearborn, Mich., led the global effort, with assists from sibling companies Impiric, Landor & Associates and Media Edge. The estimated $2 million buy includes Business Week, Fast Company, The London Times, Wired and the global edition of The Financial Times. Covisint, a joint effort of DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp, Nissan Motor Co. and Renault, opened Oct. 3.
