Cowles buys Dow Jones titles

Cowles Business Media, Stamford, Conn., acquired Dow Jones & Co.'s American Demographics today for an undisclosed sum, along with Marketing Tools magazine and the newsletter Forecast. The acquisitions will help build Cowles' stable of marketing-focused brands. Cowles recently sold the assets of 8-year-old media title Inside Media to BPI Communications, publishers of Adweek, Brandweek and Mediaweek.
