Cox Interactive kicks off classifieds ads

Published on .

Cox Interactive Media is launching classified ads on its online network of city sites in Atlanta, Austin, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and West Palm Beach, Fla. The classifieds are being developed as individual, stand-alone Web sites in certain markets, but can be accessed through the local network site. Features include search engine, customer-generated e-mail, editorial content, photos and video. The first site to launch will be in Atlanta in partnership with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, with the other three cities following in first quarter. Cox plans to roll out the ads in other network cities beginning in mid-1998.
