'Newsweek' and washingtonpost.com launch commerce channel
Newsweek.com and washingtonpost.com launched Marketplace, an electronic commerce channel on their Web sites. Marketplace features comparison shopping search results using Junglee software, plus browsing and buying in 11 categories including books, fashion, gifts, music and toys. Over the next few weeks, Marketplace will also be integrated into contextually relevant areas on both news Web sites. The publications, which are both owned by Washington Post Co.'s Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive subsidiary, said the links will be clearly marked and distinguishable from editorial content.
