CRAIN VETERAN TO OVERSEE 'AD AGE'

Crain communications Senior VP-Group Publisher Gloria Scoby will oversee the Ad Age Group following the depature of VP-Publisher Edward R. Erhardt. Mr. Erhardt will step down Sept. 30 to take the new position of president-advertising sales and customer marketing for ESPN and ABC Sports.

"It would not do Ed justice to say he has done an outstanding job," said Rance Crain, president of Crain Communications and editor in chief of Advertising Age. "He has an amazing grasp of the issues and challenges of the advertising business and commands wide respect throughout the industry."

Associate Publishers David Klein and Jill Manee will report to Ms. Scoby.

"We are privileged to have in place an exceptional team at Ad Age, and I know Gloria, Jill, David, [Editor] Scott Donaton and the rest of the great group of people we have assembled will continue to emblazon the Ad Age brand," Mr. Crain said.

Mr. Erhardt was named Ad Age Group VP in 1993 after serving as associate
