(April 9, 2001) -- Credit Suisse Group hired Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, London, to handle its $20 million global branding account, after an in-house review with incumbent Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York. Euro RSCG will develop the first branding campaign in years for the Swiss holding company, whose properties include Credit Suisse First Boston, Credit Suisse Private Banking, Credit Suisse Asset Management and Credit Suisse Financial Services.

The campaign, including TV, print and online ads, is expected to break later this year.

Credit Suisse unit CSFB Direct, formerly known as DLJ Direct, is also searching for an agency to handle the online brokerage's $20 million account. The in-house review includes New York shops Bcom3's D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Margeotes Fertitta & Partners, Omnicom Group's TBWA Chiat/Day and Havas Advertising's Messner Veter Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG. That review is expected to wrap up this spring. -- Mercedes Cardona
