The "Lamp" spot it created for Swedish retailer Ikea not only swept up the Cannes Grand Prix, the spot has so far picked up both Grand and Gold Clios as well as a Gold Medal at the Art Director's Club and a Silver at The Andy's. In addition to the Grand Prix, Crispin won a Media Lion for brewer Molson and a Press & Poster Lion for BMW's Mini Cooper's "Ride."
Bagging the Cannes Grand Prix, the advertising equivalent of the Oscars, ends a stellar awards season for the midsize shop. The Maxxcom-backed agency has taken practically every top industry prize around and has won recognition for a broad range of work.Earlier last week, the agency won $100,000 Grand Prize Kelly Award, given by the Magazine Publishers of America for its launch of BMW's Mini Cooper. The campaign also picked up The One Show's Best of Show award and won a British D&AD.
And lest one brush off the wins as creative only, in June the agency shared the Grand Effie, given out by the New York American Marketers Association for its work on the American Legacy Foundation's "Truth" campaign.
