Cronkite stars in pro-vote ads

Ex-CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite becomes a spokesman for the bipartisan Alliance for Better Campaigns' spots urging citizens to get better informed and vote in radio and TV ads that break this weekend on CNN and also will air in 10 states. The spots in the $1.4 million campaign were jointly produced by Democratic admaker Bob Squier of Squier Knapp Ochs Dunn, Washington, and GOP adman Alex Castellanos of National Media, Alexandria, Va.
