CROSS MEDIA MARKETING BUYS LIFEMINDERS

(July 23, 2001) -- Marketing company Cross Media Marketing Corp. has agreed to acquire Lifeminders, a database company with approximately 20 million numbers. Cross Media is expected to pay $68.1 million for Lifeminders.

Ronald Altbach, chairman-CEO of Cross Media, will continue in that role. Lifeminders chairman-CEO Jonathan Bulkeley will be named to the company's board and be named to its executive committee. -- Catherine P. Taylor
